Paris is Burning

Paris Is Burning is a 1990 documentary film directed by Jennie Livingston. Filmed during the late 1980s, it chronicles the ball culture of New York City and the various ethnicities, including African American, Latino gay and transgender community involved in it. We are watching this in my English class for our final and I feel that this film is very important. So many people who watch shows like Rupaul's Drag race today don't realize where it all started, especially the young ones like myself. This film opened mmy eyes to so much and I urge you to watch it.
